4) Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site, remember preferences, and measure performance. Analytics tools (e.g., website analytics platforms) help us understand aggregate usage patterns.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
If we use analytics with advertising features, we will disclose that and provide opt-out options.
We do not use cookies to read data from your device outside your browser or to identify you across unrelated sites.
5) Marketing Preferences
If you opt in to receive newsletters or updates, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting legal@renewtechadvisors.com. We may still send you non-marketing service communications.
6) How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed with:
Service providers/Processors (e.g., hosting, analytics, email delivery, applicant tracking, CRM, payment processing) under contract and subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
Professional advisors (e.g., legal/accounting) under confidentiality.
Business transfers (e.g., merger, acquisition) where information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
Legal/Compliance: to comply with law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
If our use of any vendor would constitute “selling” or “sharing for targeted advertising” under certain U.S. state laws, we will provide required disclosures and opt-out mechanisms. At present, we do not sell or share for targeted advertising.
7) International Transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, or processed in the U.S. and other countries with privacy laws that may differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
8) Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and then delete or anonymize it in line with our retention practices.
9) Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
New York (NY SHIELD Act): We maintain safeguards intended to comply with the NY SHIELD Act’s reasonable security requirements. In the event of a qualifying breach of security affecting New York residents, we will provide notifications consistent with New York law.
10) Your Privacy Rights
a) European Economic Area/UK/Swiss residents
Subject to exemptions, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise rights, contact legal@renewtechadvisors.com.
b) U.S. residents (state privacy laws)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising or profiling). We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact legal@renewtechadvisors.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent as permitted by law.
If you are a California resident and we later engage in activities covered by the CCPA/CPRA, we will provide the required Notice at Collection, describe categories of personal information collected, and offer applicable opt-outs. At present, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11) Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age where required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact legal@renewtechadvisors.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12) Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review the privacy statements of any third-party sites you visit.
